Wigging out
You Wear It Well or Warrior Moves (originally written in March)
I've christened my wigs: the brunette one is Ava (after Ava Gardner who hails from Grantham my mom's home town). And the blonde one is Marilyn (after Marilyn Monroe natch).
I like wearing them while it's cold. It's like wearing a hat. But by night, I want to fling them off. I've also been wearing the pretty soft pastel hat my friend Polly Tullock knitted for me. It doesn't have seams, so it's less irritating on a bald head. Not sure how the wigs or hats will feel in the heat of summer.
I might try going bald at some point (but probably not). My funny friends think I should embrace cos play and the bald Borg look. Indeed, my sister-in-law Anne called buzzing my hair "a warrior move." I like that. I'm a cancer fighter. Tough.
